SOUTHEND Council has vowed to help small businesses get through the recession.
Nigel Holdcroft, leader of Southend Council, signed the Federation of Small Businesses’ Small Business Engagement Accord, to demonstrate the council’s commitment to working with local businesses.
The agreement includes 14 ways of promoting the importance of listening to small businesses, including encouraging greater consultation with a wider range of business and community leaders.
It has been introduced as part of the federations’s Keep Trade Local Campaign.
