POLICE have charged a man with burglary following a break-in in Basildon.

Patrick Burke, 20, was arrested in South Crockerford, Basildon, on Friday, December 11, and later charged with burglary relating to the offence at a house in Clayburn End, Basildon.

The property was broken in to on December 3, after a large rear window was smashed and two laptops, a Nintendo Wii console and 15 games were taken.

Burke, of Roodegate, Basildon, has been remanded in custody to appear before magistrates in Basildon on Monday, December 14.
