A LEADING Southend councillor has died at the age of 67.
Mother-of-two Ann Robertson, a Conservative, was taken ill suddenly at her home on Thursday afternoon.
She was taken to Queen’s Hospital in Romford where she remained in a critical condition on a life support machine before passing away earlier yesterday.
Mrs Robertson, whose husband Ian is also a Southend councillor, was elected to the Milton Ward in June 2001, served on the council’s development control committee.
