A WOMAN from Basildon has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a stabbing.
John Smith, 58, from Jaywick near Colchester suffered stab wounds following an incident in the town on Saturday July 11 2009. He died in hospital two months later.
Detectives probing the murder this week arrested a 36-year-old woman from Basildon on suspicion of murder. She has been bailed until March while police continue their enquiries.
*Graham Wheatley of Golf Green Road, Jaywick was also arrested and charged with murder. He will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday to face the charge.
