A COMMUNITY turned out in force to voice its objections to plans to build 326 homes on green belt land in Rochford.
More than 100 people, including two local MPs and councillors, attended the protest at Coombes Farm, off Stambridge Road, on Saturday morning.
It was organised by the Residents Against Coombes Farm Expansion Group in response to proposals by developer Colonnade.
Last year, Rochford Council rejected Colonnade’s plans for the huge housing development.
But the developer appealed and the Government’s planning inspectorate will consider the plans at an inquiry, starting on April 13.
The group has already collected more than 300 signatures online.
