TWO nursery schools are celebrating success after being hailed as “shining examples” of childcare in the UK.
Dizzy Ducks Day Nursery, in Billericay, and Little Achievers Montessori, in Great Burstead, have both made it on to Ofsted’s annual list of “outstanding” childcare providers.
Both have received certificates and praise from the education watchdogs for achieving the highest possible grades in their recent inspections.
Sian Nesbitt, 29, owner of Dizzy Ducks, in Stock Road, which also has a five-star healthy eating award, said: “We are thrilled to have got such an outstanding Ofsted.
“We work really hard to make this a place parents, children and staff love coming to.”
Tots and staff from Little Achievers Montessori, based at St Mary Magdelene Church hall, in Church Street, have also been celebrating the achievement.
Manager of the nursery, Tracey Scarborough, said: “This is the second time we have got an outstanding Ofsted, which is very unusual.
“I put our success down to the dedication of our staff, who often do a lot of extra work at home in their own time, as well as very supporting parents.
“Of course, our lovely children help too.”
Zenna Atkins, chairman of the Ofsted board, said: “I wholeheartedly congratulate Dizzy Ducks and Little Achievers on their success and hard work in delivering such high standards.
“Excellence does not happen by chance. These providers have a real drive to inspire, challenge and support children.
“But there is no reason why everyone can’t be outstanding. I hope they will be a source of inspiration to others.”
