Biker injured in smash with van

A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after crashing into a van.
The accident happened on Clay Hill Road, near the junction with Ravenscourt Drive, Basildon, at 10.15am this morning.
Police said the collision was between a white Mercedez sprinter van and a Aprilia white motorcycle.
The biker, who is thought to be about 25-years-old, was taken to Basildon Hospital by ambulance with a suspected leg injury.
Firefighters also attended the crash and administered first aid to the injured biker until ambulance crews arrived.
