Cat loses one of its nine lives after close shave with fan belt

AN UNLUCKY moggy lost one of its nine lives after getting its tail caught in a car fan belt.
The cat ended up trapped by the belt as the Peugeot 307 car was being worked on in Queens Road, Southend, at around 6.23pm tonight, Thursday, March 18.
It is thought the cat had crawled into the warm engine space to take a nap, but got its tail caught when the engine was turned on.
After being freed by firefighters the cat was taken to the vets by its owners, but is not thought it was badly injured.
