AN elderly Shoebury woman needed treatment for the affects of smoke inhalation and shock after a fire in her home this morning.
The 79-year-old called the Fire Service to her home Rembrandt Close shortly before 3.30am.
Firefighters from Shoebury and Southend attended the incident.
The fire was out by 03.39 am and the casualty was left in the care of Ambulance Service paramedics.
