Southend benefits cheat sentenced (From Echo)

Can someone please explain to me if she actually received any punishment whatsoever ?

I am not interested in her mental state in fact if she would top herself it would do us all a favour and we would save money, something this Government wants.

My two son's are both in a continual mental state working 6 days a week and paying huge amounts of tax to keep their families, plus they are having to pay towards the £32,000 to keep these thieving, lying and cheating scum.

Other than costing us tax payers a fortune in court costs what sentence did she actually get, a suspended sentence SO WHAT!!!

Is this any form of deterrent for all the other benefit scroungers.

We are told to stop persecuting all the benefit scroungers WILL Bo__cks I will not stop, because my family and many other hard working families are having to pay heavily for people that are stealing from us.

Does she have to pay the money back?

I as a tax payer want my money back that she has stolen from me OR I at least to see some form of deterrent sentence.

She has stolen money that should have gone to real disabled people.

She is beyond human feeling or acceptable level of behaviour and is rubbish and like India she should live off and on Pitsea rubbish tip, with no benefits.

The last Government encouraged this type of scum and we now have another Government that is continuing to do the same.

I can see evilC, the porridge sniper's frustration but in reality, keeping her inside for a year would cost us all at least another £50,000.

The judge also, rightly in my view exercised discretion
in taking her fragile mental health into account. If she were seriously physically ill the sentencing would have been the same. Had she gone into custody and completely gone under mentally that would also have cost us a lot more, not to mention the consequences for herself.

I think this is most frustrating and there is an understandable wish to punish someone who has done wrong and robbed us all.

However I think the sentencing was right in all the circumstances.

OK Mary Lou, but she was mentally well enough to steal £32,000 from society some years ago when she committed the crime. The article says she was arrested in 2008 and it had clearly been going on before then. The judge has taken into account her present mental health.

Ah, that will be the bit where she sobs a lot and says she is depressed and all that.

I have sat in court and it is amazing the emotional transformation that comes over defendants before sentencing and also when a social & health report is ordered.

week in and week out we get more and more reports of how these benefit scroungers escape decent sentences because of their "fragile mental state" B u l l s h i t. I am sick to the back teeth of their pathetic excuses once they are caught, they are well enough when doing this crime, but cant do the time so sob, whinge, cry, pull the "i'm depressed and suicidal" stunt. Commit suicide then, one less scrounger to support in prison. We also get told that prisons are overcrowded, so what, put more in, stick 10 to a cell, i wont lose sleep over it. So what if they cant lay down coz no room, shouldnt have done the crime then should they. Why do they get more human rights than us their victims. Why is it always their rights that are taken into account, why cant the victims have more rights.

The system has to change and all over payments should be paid back by hard, tedious, work in the community in a bright orange track suit at 10 hours a day at £3.00 per hour. Essentially this would make sure we know where these scammers are and they would not be able to continue unnoticed with their regular thieving and conning of decent society.

What difference is it rich or poor if the nick my money in criminal activity by claiming benefits rich or poor they should be made to pay.

if you dont like paying all this tax, why dont you move to another country where the tax rate is less. Britain is a very expensive place to live and work. Also fraud is not the worst crime in the world is it? which you seem to be making it out to be. There are far worst crimes that have real victims like rape murder burglary etc etc so for you to make out you are the victim is really wrong. This fraud has not effected you personally has it?
