What a terrible ordeal for such a young person. I hope she is recovering o.k.It seems children are not safe anywhere these days. If and when caught the pervert should be castrated with out anesthetic.

i wonder how long it took the police to actually respond. Several years ago, i reported an incident to the police that occurred with my daughter and some pervert in the park. My daughter and her friends had gone to the park and this "man" approached her and told her to sit on his fingers whilst she had wet dreams" Now at the age she was(10) she didnt know what he meant, but it did scare her, i reported it to the police immediately and they responded, 3 days later to come and take a statement. Their excuse was "we were attending a burglary" it was really comforting to know that my daughters safety came so much lower in criteria to someones "replaceable/insurab
le" belongings. Fortunately they were able to locate this man and he was let off because he was "only joking"
Funny thing was i wasnt laughing, neither was my husband. What sort of person makes a joke like THAT to a young girl. What worries me, is this girl was incredibly lucky and our local polices track record, of prioritising, I fear motor crime (speeding tickets) and home burglaries will come way above this crime

Listen up, I've said it before and I'll say it again. There is a serial sex-offender on the loose in Essex. The police may not be linking the crimes but I believe they have all been committed by the same man. And who is this man? Well, let me give you a description from some of the Echo's own records.
- Age range of 40-50
- Perhaps missing some teeth
- May have tattoo on upper right arm.
- PERHAPS has a scar down left leg
- Grey hair
- May be driving a BMW.
- His car is possibly a hatchback with blacked-out windows
In March of this year, I believe he struck four times. Three times on Canvey, once near Prittiwell Train Station. In one case he chased a terrified child around Castle Point Golf Course.
In July, it appears that he has struck three times (If you count this incident).
Once in Leigh, once in Hockley and now once in Rochford.
His MO seems to be to try and drag kids into his car, but when that doesn't work he becomes even more brazen.
Most pedophiles attack people they know, people they have grown close to. But this guy is attacking lone kids on the street, or in one case - a swimming pool.
He is aggressive, probably not very sociable and highly erratic.
Seriously, during the summer holidays he may try and pull this **** again and again. Especially with kids running around free, he's not a criminal mastermind and seems willing to try and kidnap children in broad daylight.
Seriously, you must have noticed the higher density of these kinds of attacks in Essex recently? And considering most pedophiles prefer to work in the shadows, I think it's safe to say that one individual is doing all this.
For Gods sake, take notice and be on the watch for this cretin. Kidnappings in Essex, how many people can try and do this? Maybe the same bloke who's been trying it on Canvey AND Leigh.
This is really concerning me and I hope the police are treating these as linked incidents and are merely trying to avoid a panic.
