ANOTHER dog has been left wounded after it was attacked by a Staffordshire bull terrier.
Louie, an 18-month-old Jack Russell and border collie cross, was being walked by his 60-year-old owner in Whitmore Park, Whitmore Way, Basildon, when the attack happened.
Louie’s owner, who did not want to be named, told how the Staff, which was off its lead, came bounding towards the dog.
She said: “He just charged at us and got hold of my dog’s chest.
“I was trying to pull my dog away, but the Staff’s teeth were getting deeper.
“I told the woman to pull him off, but she just said ‘he never listens to me’.
“I eventually got my dog free, but the woman walked off without even saying sorry.”
The woman is calling on Staff owners to muzzle their dogs and keep them on leads while out in public.
The attack, which happened at around 6.30pm on Monday, is the latest in a long line of attacks recently carried out by Staffs.
