POLICE have dubbed a man Goldilocks because, they claim, he ate his victims’ food and slept in their beds.

Jesse Dobinson, 19, even has blond hair like the fairytale character who got into the Three Bears’ home and ate their porridge before taking a nap.

The teen, last known to be living in South Woodham Ferrers, is alleged to have broken in to the same home in Sevenacres, Wickford, in the space of a week.

On both occasions, police claim he helped himself to food before sleeping in beds at the home and finally stealing electrical goods.

The burglaries happened between Monday, February 28 and Wednesday, March 9.

Not content with breaking into the home twice, Dobinson is alleged to have returned a third time and shot his victim in the chest with a BB gun.

The 33-year-old man was not seriously injured.

Detectives are now hunting Dobinson and have released his picture in the hope someone will know where he is hiding.

Det Insp Simon Anslow said: “We called Dobinson Goldilocks as we believe he has not only eaten his victim’s food, but also slept in their beds.

“Everything points to him still being in Essex so, if anyone knows where he is, we would like to hear from them.”

Dobinson is also wanted in connection with a knifepoint robbery in Charles Street, Wickford.

During the attack, on Monday, April 4, police say a 36-year-old pizza delivery man was threatened with a blade before £8.60 in cash, his mobile phone, pizzas and a delivery bag were stolen.

Dobinson, who is unemployed, has links to South Woodham Ferrers, Wickford and Chelmsford.

He is white, 5ft 3ins tall, slim, with blue eyes and short, blond, straight hair. He is usually clean-shaven and has a pierced left ear.

Anyone who knows where Dobinson is can contact Det Insp Anslow at Grays police station on 0300 3334444.
