Family pay tribute to murder victim Roy Sly

THE family of murder victim Roy Sly have paid an emotional tribute to him.

Father-of-three Roy, 53, is believed to have been killed in a flat in Station Road, Westcliff, between January 8 and 10.

His sister Barbara and brother, Bob Sly, remembered him as a loving brother who cared about his family.

They said:" His life was cut short, he was taken away from us all too soon. He had a heart of gold and would have helped anyone."

Vincent Harty, 38,Wakering Avenue, Shoebury, and Lisa Turner, 32, of Snakes Lane, Eastwood, stand charged with his murder.

The pair are yet to enter pleas and have been remanded in custody.
