Blues hit back at Brady

EMBITTERED bosses at Southend United have accused former chief executive Tara Brady of failing to do his job properly while at the club.

In a statement issued today, the Blues said Mr Brady had only been interested in the footballing side of the business and commercial goals were “considerably off-target” as a result.

Bosses also refuted the suggestion that Mr Brady had invested a much larger sum in the club than the £150,000 claimed by chairman Ron Martin.

The statement said: “The lack of committment to the whole task of being the chief executive of the club naturally led to some conflict with the chairman, resulting in Tara’s decision to leave.”

However, the statement also claimed Mr Brady and Mr Martin were still in regular contact, despite reports to the contrary.

It included two emails, allegedly exchanged between the two men on Wednesday, to prove there were no hard feelings.

Am sure all the finances are all strictly "tickety-boo". Confident Big Ron has everything under full control, no matter what comes his way.
I wonder if that Tax Bill is imminent?

I heard today that Brady had invested over £500k and repayments from the club were not forthcoming which led to him leaving. Not sure how true this is. A club is a business and we need to have our heads above water if we're going to financially survive.
