A MAN has had an MBE medal stolen from his home this morning.
The prized possession was taken during a burglary in Snakes Lane, Southend, at about 9am today.
A slim person wearing a three-quarter length jacket was seen leaving a property via the the front door. The suspect had gained entry to the house by smashing the glass in two rear doors, causing around £500 worth of damage. Once inside, they have stolen various items including a laptop, a collection of pins and badges .
The MBE medal had been given to the victim, a 65-year-old man, in 2009 for his services to young people.
