A third person has been arrested in connection with a murder in Westcliff.
The body of Roy Sly was found inside his flat in Station Road shortly before 1pm on Tuesday, January 10.
A post-mortem examination was conducted, but further test results are being awaited in order to establish how the 53-year-old died.
On Friday, February 3, a 37-year-old man from the Merthyr Tydfil area in Wales was arrested in the Southend area on suspicion of murder. He is currently being questioned by detectives at Southend police station.
Vincent Harty, a 38-year-old unemployed man from Wakering Avenue in Shoebury and 32-year-old unemployed Lisa Turner from Snakes Lane in Southend are currently remanded in court custody until their appearances at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday, April 2 after both were charged with one count of murder each.
