Fire at sheltered housing complex

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a sheltered housing complex after a storage heater started smoking.
A woman at Tyrrell Court, in Crest Avenue, Pitsea, was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
But she did not require hospital treatment.
Fire crews were called at about 4am and had isolated the faulty unit withing han an hour, before an electrician took over.
