A THIRD person has been charged in connection with a Westcliff murder investigation.
Peter Smith, 37, of Furnace Row, Troedyrhiw, Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, has been charged with the murder of Roy Sly.
Mr Sly, 53, was found dead in his flat on Station Road, Westcliff on January 10.
Smith will appear before Southend Magistrates Court this morning.
The other two people already charged are Vincent Harty, 38, of Wakering Avenue, Shoebury and 32-year-old Lisa Turner, of Snakes Lane, Eastwood, who are currently remanded in court custody to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on April 2, both charged with murder.
