CHILDREN were transported back in time to discover what it was like to learn in a Victorian classroom.
Pupils and staff at Greensted Infant School and Nursery in Kirby Road, Basildon, dressed up and experienced a day in the life of a Victorian school as part of their history lesson.
Headteacher Jo Farrow said: “All the children and staff experienced what school would have been like more than 100 years ago.
“They really enjoyed writing on slates.”
