Stricter school day - Victorian lessons at Greensted Infants Stricter school day - Victorian lessons at Greensted Infants

CHILDREN were transported back in time to discover what it was like to learn in a Victorian classroom.

Pupils and staff at Greensted Infant School and Nursery in Kirby Road, Basildon, dressed up and experienced a day in the life of a Victorian school as part of their history lesson.

Headteacher Jo Farrow said: “All the children and staff experienced what school would have been like more than 100 years ago.

“They really enjoyed writing on slates.”

Maybe the Victorian method hould be brought back full time.
