POLICE want to speak to this man who is a key witness in a Southend rape investigation.

The attack happened on a grassy verge of the cliffs between Clifftown Parade and Southend seafront between 3 and 5am on May 11.

A 21-year-old woman from Grays had met two men in Talk on Lucy Road and walked with them towards the High Street after having left the nightclub shortly after 3am.

One of these men maybe called Cain or Kane. He left the suspect and the woman on their own.

He was wearing a brown shirt and dark jeans at the time. He has distinctive markings in his close-cut hairstyle.

The attacker is described as white, aged in his mid-20s, has short dark hair, is of average build and was wearing a black T-shirt at the time.
