A car transporter carrying seven vehicles went up in flames on Thursday night.
Firefighters from Leigh Fire Station were called out to the blaze in Snake's Lane, Eastwood, at about 10.30pm.
The driver of the lorry had noticed smoke coming from under his vehicle's bonnet and pulled over near a Ford dealership at the junction of Leigh Road.
Officers were able to extinguish the fire by 11.15pm and no one was injured.
None of the cars being transported were damaged.
