FASHION will sashay its way down the catwalk in aid of a good cause tonight at a special event raising money for Lupus UK.

Among the designers at the show, which takes place at the Freight House in Rochford, is 13-year-old Abbie Smith, who despite her tender years will be showcasing her third collection, La Boheme.

Describing her work, Abbie’s mother, Leanne Martin, says: “The collection is made of luxurious fabrics and colours using lots of embelleshments. It has a bit of a Seventies vibe to it like her Age of Aquarious collection, but it is a more grown-up version.

“It is geared more towards autumn rather than summer, featuring trousers, jackets, evening dresses and gypsy tops.

“Abbie says it’s got the ‘posh hippy’ feel, using lots of layers and textures.”

The show, organised by Venus Rubertazzi-Glanville, will also feature catwalk shows from Red Butterflie, Arthur and Betty, Chesca Smith, Shaniks Silhouette-Flower, Christopher Niari, Katie Page, Buddha Boutique, Brazen Hussy, Taus, Loo La's and Abbey Parsons.

Raffle prizes include vouchers for a massage at Leigh Thai Massage, spray tans, gel nails, jewellery and a meal for two.

There will also be dance troupes, music and entertainment.

The charity fashion show takes place at the Freight House, Bradley Way, Rochford tonight at 7.30pm.

Ticket are £10. For more information, call 07961 565051.
