seems this week accidents in southend through the wrong use of scooters in the hands of teens have highlighted the age old issue of the CBT. The cbt is a a training course which is shorted than your school pedal cycle test. I find these kids dressed in the wrong gear, riding in packs with reduced awareness of their surroundings, riding their scooters with their feet on the passanger foot pegs reducing their control and balance and attempting riding practices which are unsuitable for shared roads. Perhaps the driving with grace program could be extended to include scooter riders, as many of these riders who highlight themselves by their antiscoial and dangerous behaviour have simular attitudes to young Ben. If your child has a scooter (and many need these as affordable transport) enrol them on bike safe, ask them to refrain from riding in groups, and make sure they wear the correct gear the correct way.

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been left with life-threatening injuries after a scooter he was on collided with a police car.

The incident happened at 2am this morning in Bournemouth Park Road, Southend, at the junction with Central Avenue.

The collision involved a black and blue Yiben scooter which was in collision with the side of a marked police vehicle.
