Outbuilding fire in Rayleigh

TWO fire crews were called to a blaze in Rayleigh on Saturday morning.

An outbuilding in Rawreth Road, measuring 7m by 4m, was destroyed by the fire.

Crews wore breathing apparatus and used one jet and one hose reel to tackle the incident, but flames destroyed the building.

The fire was out by 8am and it took the firefighters just under an hour to extinguish the blaze.

The cause is unknown at this stage.

Ah the Echo's lack of geographical knowledge strikes again. Perhaps they mean Rawreth Lane?
