Claims of noisy jets at Southend Airport are rejected by council (From Echo)

Reverse thrust is not applied until the plane is on the ground on the runway and when applied lasts maybe 10 seconds !

I live close to and work at the airport what trafffic congestion theres no more than before. Disaster such doom and gloom best we shut Heathrow city and Stansted they all fly over here !

  As I see it, "the council will say anything to justify a ludicrous decision to allow expansion of a site too small and in the wrong location for an airport."
