PLANS to create a lasting legacy ay Hadleigh Country Park have been approved by Castle Point Council.
 

A new visitors centre, replacement business units, a larger pay and display car park and new walking and cycling tracks were all given the go-ahead at the controversial meeting.


More than 300 people turned out to the meeting to also hear the outcome of proposals and to hear the debate on plans to build 150 new homes at land off Kiln Road in Thundersley.


Both planning applications were passed- chief planning officer Steve Rogers said there were no planning grounds to refuse either proposal.
