Great Britain's Liam Killeen crashed out of the Olympic cross-country mountain bike event at Hadleigh Farm.

Killeen was being treated by medical staff on the course at the foot of Deane's Drop, a steep section of boulders on the 4.7-kilometre route, on the second lap of seven.

British Cycling reported Killeen had sustained a suspected broken ankle.

An ambulance was set to take Killeen to Homerton Hospital.

The bike riding itself is absolutely awe-inspiring! How those riders manage to keep going round and round that course seems super-human. The setting looks great too, and thankfully there was no sign of a McD!

People who paid £45 for a ticket rather than £20 (there were two categories advertised) - unless something has changed since yesterday, you will find you get absolutely nothing more for paying an extra £25 per ticket. There was some kind of LOCOG mix up apparently, or so I was told yesterday, and there was no reason for two different ticket prices.

After asking several officials the general consensus seemed to be that people who had paid £45 under the impression there was a reason for the two different prices should seek a refund of the extra £25 per ticket paid. There was a lot of confusion amongst people working there over exactly where and how to claim refunds, so hopefully they will have worked that one out a bit more today.
