Two men bottled by gang of six thugs

TWO MEN were attacked by a gang of six thugs armed with bottles after a night out in Southend.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to the 2am attack outside Food & Wine in London Road to come forward.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Police were called shortly after 2am on Sunday September 2 following reports that about six people, some with bottles, were assaulting two victims at London Road.
The two victims, both from Southend were taken to hospital and treated for cuts before being allowed home.”
Two men aged 20 and two juveniles, aged 16 and 17, all from the Southend area, were arrested on suspicion of affray and were still in custody on Sunday afternoon.
Anyone with information should contact the Serious Crime Team at Southend on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

I saw the mess from this on the floor on my way in to work - blood everywhere - disgusting vile scum. Glass bottles should be banned and everything should be plastic - no reason for it not to be really.
