Two men fail to answer bail after Royal Mail raids in Southend
11:45am Tuesday 11th September 2012 in News By Emma Thomas
POLICE are searching for two people who failed to answer bail after a joint operation with the Royal Mail.
In April, riot police were joined by undercover Royal Mail officers in three simultaneous raids looking for fake stamps in Canvey, Southend and London.
Police believed bogus stamps were being used by a stationary supply business, to avoid paying postage on their goods.
Four people were arrested - two from Canvey and two from Westcliff.
They were all questioned on suspicion of fraud by false representation.
A 38-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, both from Westcliff, failed to answer police bail.
A 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from Canvey, were rebailed until October 5.
