Updated: A127 in Southend closed following crash

A BUSY road in Southend was closed for almost two hours following an accident between a van and a motorcycle on Friday night.

Prince Avenue in Westcliff was sealed off by police between Priory Crescent and Rochester Drive following the crash shortly before 7pm.

The motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his 20s, had leg and arm injuries. 

The road re-opened shortly before 9pm.

Ho Ho Ho, seems white van man strucks again, mr R6 me thinks you ride Bikes, Mr aduk me thinks is still in training wheels. Still It does say a van and Moterbike. As a Guess here's what happened, white van man rushing to make it back to the depot for a last pick up, Bike lane splitting, white van man reaches for 50 ciggie of the day to go with his newspaper and can of coke thats hes reading while he drinks, smokes and drives. He doesn't see Bike who shouldn't be lane splitting and bingo we have a crash. Not new or news but its worth grumbling about. For the record yes I rides bikes and I drive car and 4WD and fly a glider and parachute. but then you don't offen see the headline glider rams van on 127 now do you?

"Accident" implies no one was to blame so how can this be reported as an accident before all the facts are known?
