Police seek victim of theft
1:40pm Tuesday 18th September 2012 in News
Police are looking to identify the victim of a potential theft in Benfleet.
It comes after officers were called to Romsey Crescent shortly before 3am on Friday, September 14 .
They arrived to find two boys who had a three-figure sum of cash in loose change and a set of headphones in their possession.
They were arrested on suspicion of attempted theft as police believe that the money and headphones do not belong to them.
Investigating Officer, Pc Adam Hall, said: "We’re trying to identify anyone living on Romsey Crescent or Romsey Road has noticed any cash missing from their car which may have been unlocked at the time.”
The 17-year-old boys from Basildon and Harlow were subsequently released on police bail until Sunday, November 4 pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information in connection with this attempted theft is urged to contact investigating officers at Rayleigh police station on 101.

What the hell were two 17 year olds from Basildon and Harlow doing in Benfleet at 3 in the morning. I couldnt think of anything more fitting to this crime.
