Man, 35, arrested after "drugs powder" found in car in Basildon

A MAN has been arrested after police found what they believe to be cocaine in a car that was stopped on the A127 .
The 35-year-old from West Horndon, near Brentwood, was arrested on Friday, September 21, on suspicion of possessing cocaine with an intent to supply.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “A police officer stopped a Mercedes car on the A127 in Basildon at 2.30pm on Friday and searched the vehicle, finding quantities of drugs powder inside.
“Following a search of a house, further powders and cash were seized.”
The man has been bailed until November 12 while investigations continue.
