'Most wanted' burglar remanded in custody
A MAN described by police as Basildon's most wanted burglar has appeared in court charged with 14 offences.
Philip Young, 23, whose last known address was Whitmore Way, Basildon, was charged by police with two counts of attempted burglary, eight counts of burglary, theft from a motor vehicle, two counts of theft from a person, and receiving stolen goods.
The offences were all committed over the past year.
A week after his picture appeared in the Echo, Young was arrested by police on September 18 and appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on and was remanded in custody to next appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 3.
