A MAN has been charged with a stabbing which left the victim in need of 16 blood transfusions.
Colin Perry, 35, is alleged to have attacked Robert Bones in Croppenbury Way, Canvey, with a bread knife following a row.
Police were called to the scene at about 12.15am on Sunday [September 30] to find the victim, who is in his 30s, had been badly injured.
Perry, 35, of Meadow View Walk, Canvey, was later charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He appeared before Southend Magistrates Court yesterday where he was also charged with harrassing his ex-partner, Tracey Powell, with numerous calls and texts between August 1 and September 30.
Perry was remanded in custody to appear before Basildon Crown Court in the week commencing December 17.
