Several roads in Southend, Shoebury and Thorpe Bay will be closed for Southend 10k race

Temporary road closures – Southend 10K Road Race
Southend Council will temporarily close a number of roads to allow for the Southend 10K Road Race this Sunday (7th October).
For reasons of public safety the following roads will be closed:
• Ness Road/Shoebury Common Road – from 9.55am to 12noon
• Thorpe Esplanade/Eastern Esplanade (from New Barge Road to Victoria Road) – from 9.55am to 12noon
• Northumberland Crescent (from Huntingdon Road to Lifstan Way) – from 9.50am to 10.45am
• Elizabeth Road (in its entirety) – from 9.55am to 12.15pm
• Shaftesbury Avenue (from Elizabeth Road to Lifstan Way) – from 9.55am to 12.15pm
• Warwick Road (in its entirety) – from 10.25am to 10.50am
• Colbert Avenue (from Warwick Road to Greenways) – from 10.25am to 10.50am
• Greenways (in its entirety) – from 10.25am to 10.50am
Vehicles belonging to Essex Police, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, the East of England Ambulance NHS Trust, St John Ambulance, HM Coast Guard and the RNLI are not affected by the temporary closures.
