Nurse alleged to have bungled chemo doses could be struck off

A FORMER Southend Hospital nurse faces a string of professional misconduct allegations amid claims she bungled doses of medicines for cancer patients.

Victoria Anteh, who first registered as a nurse in 1975, is facing a Nursing and Midwifery fitness to practice hearing in connection with 12 incidents between April 2007 and October 2009.

Charges include giving patients medications used in chemotherapy treatment at incorrect doses in April 2007 and May 2008.

A two-day hearing, which begins in central London on Thursday will consider if the alleged “lack of competence” means she should no longer be allowed to practice.
