Council brings in security firm at Brooke House (From Echo)

A security firm to help residents 'air their issues' about the lifts being refurbed? This article makes no sense at all.......

So, a security firm is providing some kind of a presence in a council block to somehow help residents communicate with the council? Is that a correct assessment? I don't understand this at all.

I am sure they are there to assist residents carry shopping etc up the stairs Lol. also who will be paying for this extra service?. Maybe Tony Ball will be there personally helping residents.

The only reason why they have a security firm in the flats, is to stop the crackheads beating up the workmen from fixing their lifts, which they use as a public toilet.

So where am I supposed to go for a jimmy now then, have to do it out the window

Brooke House is full of scum, single chav mums and druggies. Repairs don't get done as workmen are regulary threatened, even the council won't go near there!!

Its not that bad there, just the lifts stink of urine and you have to make sure your clothes dont touch the inside of them, a few scumbags live there but considering how many flats there are thats to be expected

Hopefully this security firm have been properly trained as to how to help elderly and infirm people up the stairs and they are not just making it up as they go along or they could end up causing more problems then they solve!

NOT that your comment is relevant to this story, BUT i live in Brooke House and im not sure how you come to your conclusion, sorry to disappoint but I don't do drugs or have any kiddies. I have also had no problems with the council coming up to do repairs etc in the years that I have been living there (that doesn't mean I threaten them either).

I, like the other residents of flats on my floor, go to work, pay my rent and taxes and am just quite relieved to get home of an evening. It doesn't matter where you live as soon, as you get home you shut that door, that's it!

Yes, I will agree with you that there is some scum living in Brooke House, but please don't tar the rest of us with that brush.

Don't get too wound up stan06. Most of the people that make this level of comment are the "Trollers" who spend their lives looking for someone to put down with their inane comments. They appear to believe that they become a little more important with every individual they manage to insult. Being as most of our villains and time wasters are from the upper end of the middle class (as they call themselves), you can empathise much more these days with a single parent with three kids who is forced by circumstance to live in a high rise. Even more sad are the young drug takers led astray by those same evil middle class buffoons. Be proud of your position in life, ignore the trolls that abound!
