Shoplifter steals alcohol from Southend store

CCTV footage of a suspected shoplifter has been released.

Police this afternoon released footage of a man in his 30s suspected of stealing several cans of lager from Tesco Express in Southchurch Road, Southend, on Saturday morning.

Investigating officer PC Craig Burles said: "The man is described white, in his early 30s and is pictured wearing a pink and grey hoody, light jeans and light trainers.”

The theft took place shortly after 6.30am.

Anyone with information should call Southend police on 101.
