Police detain man at Westcliff railway station

A MAN has been detained under the mental health act after police were called to Westcliff railway station.
Trains had been cautioned about a 7.50pm on Wednesday following reports of a man threatening to trespass on the tracks.
The man, aged 25 and from Basildon, did not get onto the tracks.
Officers detained him at the station and he was taken to Basildon Hospital for treatment.
