POLICE and Fire officers were called to a road crash at around 10.30pm last night.
Initial reports suggested someone may have fled the scene at Cranes Farm Road, Basildon. A police helicopter was sent to the incident.
The road remained closed for over an hour because of a suspected fuel spillage.
It is believed a motorcycle and vehicle were involved.
