Rabbits stolen from garden

THREE rabbits have been stolen from the back garden of a family home.

The rabbits and their hutch were taken from the garden of a house in Templer Avenue, Chadwell St Mary, between 8pm on Monday and Tuesday morning.

Disgusted homeowner Carol Turner, 47, said: "My children were really upset.

"Is this what the world is coming to when children's rabbits are being stolen?

"I'm really angry someone could do this."

The pets, named Flopsy, Woody and Junior, belong to Mrs Turner's children, Mitchell, 12, and Nikki, 15.

The thieves also attempted to break into the garden shed, but nothing was stolen.

Essex Police spokesman Nishan Wijeratne urged witnesses to contact Grays Police on 0300 3334444.

Hopefully the rabbits have been set free.

Keeping rabbits caged in a hutch is cruel.
