Police are trying to track down three people after rail staff members were assaulted at Basildon train station.

Two barrier line staff members, a man and a woman, were attacked on Tuesday, October 14 at 5.32pm.

The male staff member was punched in the face and he suffered a broken nose. The female staff member was also punched in the face and had her hair pulled.

Police are asking anyone who was at the station at the time of the incident to come forward and assist police with their appeal. Police would like to speak to three people.

The first person is a black boy, of slim build, about 17-years-old with uncombed afro hair in two buns.

The boy was wearing dark brown jogging bottoms and top and black trainers.

The second person is a black man, 5 ft 8ins tall, of slim build and aged about 19-years-old.

He had braided hair and was wearing jeans, a white t-shirt and black jacket.

The third person is a girl with black shoulder-length hair. She is about 16 to 18-years-old.
