Woman charged with dishonestly claiming child was suffering from a terminal illness
A woman has been charged with two counts of fraud by false representation.
The arrest is in connection with a charity fundraising collection between December 2016 and October 2017.
Kayla Rickenberg, 27, of Lansdowne Avenue, Leigh, is due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court on April 9.
The charges relate to allegations she committed fraud in that she dishonestly claimed a child was suffering from a terminal illness, intending to make a gain for herself.
