A man has stolen cash from a safe after forcing his way into a shop.
Around 8.25am this morning a man forced entry into the Holland & Barrett store, in High Street, Billericay, pushed a member of staff and stole cash from a safe. He then left the shop via the back entrance on Chapel Street.
The man was described as white, around 45 years-old and 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing a black coat, black jeans, a black woolly hat, red checked scarf and gloves.
Anyone with information or saw a man matching this description in the area at the time is asked to contact Ds Mike Wilkinson at Basildon CID on 101.
