A 13-YEAR-OLD girl was among nine people in court following a police operation to stop the supply of class A drugs.
Officers arrested 12 people on Tuesday during an operation across the Southend district to target the supply of drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine.
Nine people were charged with a total of 50 drug offences, all relating to supplying and intending to supply class A drugs, and appeared in Southend Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Three were aged under 18.
Three people have pleaded guilty to charges of supplying and intending to supply class A drugs and will appear at Basildon Crown Court for sentencing on April 21.
They are Emma Stirling, 33, of Jones Close, Southend, Jodi Gregory, 31, of Park Road, Westcliff, and Shawn Hinds, 25, from Hounslow, London.
Jemal Roache, 18, of Hackney, London, faced the highest number of charges. He did not enter pleas to ten charges, relating to the supply and intention to supply heroin and crack cocaine.
Roache was remanded in custody, along with Matthew Nardolilli, 19, of Tiptree Close, Leigh, and Niciya Brewster, 20, of Islington, London, who also entered no pleas to the charges against them.
They will all reappear at Southend Magistrates' Court next Tuesday via video link and their cases will be committed to Basildon Crown Court for trial.
A 13-year-old girl from Southend, a 14-year-old girl from Westcliff and a 17-year-old boy from Lambeth, London, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have also been charged with drug-related offences.
Stirling and the two teenage girls were released on bail until their next court appearance. The three other people arrested as part of the police operation were released on police bail, while inquiries continue.
