Charities must aid sick cat

I am writing about Jess, the cat which needs cancer treatment.

When the Echo first wrote about Jess, it was about Julie Lamb who was raising money for the cat’s treatment. I was certain someone with money, or a business, would make a large donation to help Jess.

After reading the articles last week I was astonished.

I presumed Jess would have been supported by cat charities. This poor woman is raising money without any help. Why hasn’t an animal charity stepped in to make a donation? Do they not support sick cats?

I wish Julie Lamb the best of luck raising the money needed, and hopefully donations will come in. I also admire the Echo for giving its support.

Thank goodness you care.

I have a cat and I have had many before her, I love them. But come on. Cancer in a cat is very hard to treat and stressful for the cat. Is it worth it? There is a very slim chance of it being cured. I know pets do form a big part of any family, but there is a point when you have to let go.
