This is a firm that specialises in processing and storing very sensitive data. They should have known better. Having said that, my husband picked up a mini-tower at the Rayleigh Castle Road site. It was just lying around, but as it appeared to be in good nick he brought it home. Judge of his shock to find that the previous owner had left all her personal details on the hard drive? There was a huge amount of the most personal family, employment and social information on there - a gift for identity thieves. He contacted her and she explained that she'd asked her son to transfer all the information to a new machine - he'd done that but had failed to wipe the old one! Seems as if that's what happened here. The laptop was deemed surplus to requirements and the hard drive should have been wiped before being sold on eBay.
