Flying visit pupils were allowed on board the helicopter
SCHOOLchildren were given a special treat when their school arranged for a helicopter to pay them a flying visit.
All 150 pupils from Ghyllgrove Infant School, Basildon, watched the helicopter - provided by charter company Heli-Wise - land, before they were given a guided tour by the captain.
After the helicopter took off again, the children sat on the floor in the shape of the school emblem, while a photograph was taken of them from the sky. The pictures are sold to the parents, so there is no cost of chartering the aircraft to the school.
Sue Fowler, from the school, said: "It was very exciting for them. They got to speak to the captain and have a good look around the helicopter."
