THE Friends Musical and Dramatic Group raised £1,400 at its tenth anniversary charity event at Tyrrells Hall, Little Thurrock.
Proceeds from the variety show, which included singing, acting and dancing will be split between disabled group member Gary Paige, 25, of Chadwell St Mary, and St Lukes Hospice.
Group member Billy Reed, 28 from Little Thurrock said: "It was a total sell-out and the show was fantastic. We received a signed photo from Barbara Windsor wishing us luck. The audience loved it."
There will be another show on Friday, June 20, to raise funds for the group to buy a shed to store all the scenery.
